What a wonderful mix. did you line the colander with anything to keep the soil from washing out. My younger daughter rescued one from her elder sister which has a bit of corrosion. I told her to use it outdoors for picking veggies, but hey if she could grow veggies in it all the better!
Hi – Yes, I used plastic window screening to line the colander. If you look below there is a link for how to make a colander into a planter. Just make sure it’s not in too hot a place. Metal containers can cook your plants’ roots.
