Hens and Chicks in a Teacup

I do extreme container gardening. I haven't counted how many containers I've got going this summer, but trust me, there are a lot. I'm also pretty cheap - that combined with a penchant for interesting containers and a desire to push the container gardening envelope has led me to try some unusual containers.
Here is an article I wrote about Ideas for Containers That are Cheap or Free (and cool).

This is beautiful – and inspiring! I’m sure I could find room for a teacup planter even here in my little apartment.
Thanks for the great idea, Kerry!
Really/ The idea is fine. And the photo is nice. Thanks.
I love buying teacups at the thrift store and potting succulents in them to give as gifts. I do glassworking so I often tie ribbons with a bead of two to the handle for a personalized gift.
Hey Kimberly-What a lovely idea! Thanks for sharing it.
It’s not a teacup, but this one is cheap: I saw a photo yesterday of a tire that had been turned into a planter, rim and all. The amazing thing is that, even though it was an old tire + rim, it was really sort of beautiful in a rustic kind of way!
Tire planters can be great. You just have to be careful because they can leach toxins into the soil.
