The Language of Flowers

By November 24, 2011

Follow me on:

I am a insatiable reader. I always have been. I love fiction, non-fiction and am a sucker for gardening books. I opened a package recently and saw that a publisher had sent me a copy of The Language of Flowers, a debut novel by Vanessa Diffenbaugh.

Right from the beginning I was hooked into the story--gulping it down whenever I could snatch a few moments of quiet to read. While it is not a perfect book (ok, there are few) it is an interesting story with a quirky and memorable main character. The fact that a central theme is the Victorian language of flowers, is a total bonus.
