I used to scramble around every June, as we got close to the end of the school year, trying to think of clever, inexpensive, easy gifts for teachers and school support staff. I would love to give each of them a car, or a lavish vacation--I respect, and admire what they do so much--but since I can't do that, I give container gardens. Some years, I have given herbs in a pot tied with a raffia ribbon and some years gardening tools or gloves.
Here are 5 Container Gardens For Teacher Gifts with links to instructions on how to make them.

Well, Kerry, your idea is much much cuter than what we did. We do online school at home so we don’t get to see our teacher much. In fact, Thursday was our first chance to actually meet her in person. My son chose a hanging basket of the pink lemonade petunias for her. I figure it was worth the splurge since we don’t have a lot of the costs that are part and parcel with a traditional school experience. Ah well. We’ll do a cute planter next year.
