I know it might be somewhat sexist to assume that grilling is a guy thing, but most guys I know are more comfortable behind a grill than at a stove. So here's an idea of Father's Day gift for any dads in your life who might thrilled by the grill.

Put together a "Grilling Garden." A grilling garden can be in any container and has herbs that you would use on the grill. Rosemary, thyme even lavender are all good for grilling. Basil, oregano, mint, lemon thyme and parsley would all be good in marinades.

You can follow these instructions for a Pizza Herb Garden and just change out some of the herbs.

Also here are some tips on getting started:

This is a great, green idea for an inexpensive, long lasting father’s day gift! I did something similar to this last year and my dad enjoyed it all summer long. I used http://www.greeneutopia.com to get some ideas. You can buy eco-friendly products on there, but it also has a lot of useful tips and tricks. Lots of gift ideas, too, if you’re feeling creative :) My youngest sister is about to move into the city and won’t have a yard and wants me to make a “patio garden” for her, too!
