I don't know about you, but I am highly distractible, particularly when I'm doing something I don't particularly want to do. Ok, I'm even distractible when doing things I like. However, sometimes I get in a zone where the world simply falls away and I'm focused and totally in the present moment. That is when I get my best work done.
Photography works like that for me. When I'm taking pictures or working with them on the computer--the house could burn down, and I wouldn't even know it.
I remember when my children were babies, putting those tiny arms into their sleeves, how there was nothing else in the world at those moments. It was just getting that sweet, delicate arm, to go into that sleeve--that was all that mattered. I feel that way when I'm planting a container. It's pure focus and joy.
Watering...I get distracted.

I don’t think you were distracted when you shot the rose above!
