Nagami Kumquat in Better Times

Let me start by saying that this is not a scientific study, so my results may be from something else entirely, but I since I have been treating my citrus trees with Nutri-Cal--a spray on calcium concoction--the plants have markedly improved.
I wrote earlier about the saga of my suicidal Meyer lemon tree, which then morphed into an infestation of spider mites last winter. To say my Nagami kumquat, Calamondin orange, lime and Meyer lemon tree were bummed out, is an understatement. To be honest, they were on their last legs (or branches as the case may be). I was about to throw in the towel on these plants and give up on growing citrus completely.
In rides Nutri-Cal on a big white horse and saves the day and my plants. I don't want to overstate this, but the amount of new growth I'm seeing is pretty staggering. There may be other explanations for this, but the timing makes me think the resurrection is due to the Nutri-Cal spray.
I don't know if there is a placebo effect with plants, but either way, I'm grateful that my suffering citrus seems to be on the road to recovery.
Note: I was sent free product to try, but have no financial connection to the company.
