Sometimes I just have too much fun making succulent container gardens. I don't know what I did before I discovered their amazing wonderfulness (thanks in large part to Debra Lee Baldwin). Succulents make almost anything possible as a container.

I’d love to have this in a kitchen window sill. I’d smile every time I saw it.
How utterly cute, you have an unlimited imagination when it comes to gardening containers! This would make a great gift.
Beautiful! I’d love to try this in my kitchen. Would the container keep the plants small since they were kind of cramped? Or would they eventually need to be transplanted?
Susan – It couldn’t be easier to make, so go ahead and try it!
Great idea Sukhmandir. They would make great teacher gifts.
Donna – If they don’t get a lot of light the plants stretch out and have to be replaced. With most succulents, since the root structure is so compact, and slow-growing they don’t often need transplanting.
As a result of your wonderful info I have become a succulent nut. do I bring all the containers in for the winter or can they’ve left out?
Do I need to bring my succulent containers in for the winter. I live in NJ
Love this! You can bring a little summer joy inside for the winter.
Thanks! It depends on what kind of succulents you are growing. Hens and chicks should be fine if they are in a container that can withstand freezing and thawing.
