Every winter, just when I am getting used to not gardening, the seed catalogs start to arrive and a new seduction appears every day in my mailbox.
I don't do new years' resolutions because I generally can't keep them, but IF I was going to make one it would be that I would grow fewer containers this year and start fewer seeds. Each year, my passion kind of seems to metastasize and I end up biting off way more than I can sanely chew--last year there were over 100 containers to water, worry over and sometimes kill.
But back to seeds. They are so small and relatively inexpensive and I do have so much fun and get such immense pleasure when they turn into healthy robust little plants...
Uh-oh...good thing I didn't make a new years' resolution...
