
Moss Rocks from Moss and Stone Gardens

Hmmm...I was surprised to read this fascinating and in-depth article, by Helen Yoest on using moss in terrariums. It turns out that it's not all that easy to keep moss alive in the enclosed and therefore humid environment of terrariums.
The article suggests that you should really keep your terrarium uncovered for most of the time, only sealing it for special occasions.

Back in the sixties, we were all making terrariums, along with our tie dye and macrame. I never found them that easy to maintain. The moss rocks, though, are lovely!
I actually loved them, and I love mosses.
but when I was younger, we moved around a lot, and many got broken or opened etc.
It would be fun to start some again.
