A giant snowstorm can be dangerous in more ways than are obvious. While I thought I was in danger of ordering too many seeds--being stuck inside with all the seed catalogs. However, I experienced my annual, deer-in-the-headlights seed panic and postponed ordering. Instead temptation crept in via an innocuous email from Willard and May offering big discounts of pre-chilled bulbs.
As the wind whipped the snow around my windows and the drifts piled up to five feet, I couldn't resist the idea of a house filled with containers of spring bulbs and I ordered a bunch. I got tulips, hyacinths (the big ones, not those pictured here) and daffodils.
The sale only goes until the 16th, so I'm seeing this as the perfect Valentine's day present to myself.
