Water your container garden generously with a gentle shower. If you have one, use a rose attachment on your watering can or a shower attachment on your hose, and gently soak your container garden.
If you're going to put your container gardens on a delicate surface, make sure to put something waterproof underneath for protection.
To check if your container garden needs water, stick your finger well into the soil - up to your second knuckle. If it feels dry, make sure to give it a good drink.
Feed your container gardens every couple of weeks with a diluted liquid fertilizer. I use liquid fish and seaweed emulsion.
To keep your container gardens flowering and looking their best, deadhead by picking off spent blossoms.
