I love the way this restaurant sized colander looks with the million bells. The short, wide shape really allows the plant to spread out. The proportions also work well, giving focus to the plant, not the container. It goes to prove, anything can be used for a container garden.
You can also easily make colanders into hanging planters by putting wire, or strong twine, through the holes on three or four sides of the colander and attaching a large hook.
Always be careful when putting a plant into a metal containers. If the metal gets too hot, it can burn the plant's roots.
