Because these container gardens are so small, they dry out very quickly. Make sure to keep the soil moist, but not sopping wet. Violas like sun, but not heat, so try to keep them out of the sun in the heat of the day, or your plants will get cooked.

Remove any spent flowers and fertilize with a diluted plant food that is low in nitrogen. I use a fish emulsion, seaweed blend, at 1/2 the recommended strength.

To stabilize your eggs, you can put them in a basket, use a bottle top, or vintage egg cups.
