Guide Review - Jolly Clogs for Container Gardening
I can't tell you how many pairs of shoes I've ruined by container gardening in them. I tend to water them, cover them with dirt and then water them again. I was determined to find a comfortable, waterproof shoe that I could wear all the time.
I have tried many, many different garden clogs. My old favorites were from L.L. Bean and I was really disappointed when they stopped making them. However, after wearing Jolly garden clogs from Gardeners Supply, for about an hour I became a total fan and even prefer them to my old favorites.
First of all, though half the time they may be covered with mud, I don't want ugly garden clogs. I love how these look, especially the red, which I find, well, Jolly and cute.
These clogs are incredibly comfortable - even in bare feet. The innersole molds perfectly to my feet and even after wearing them for hours, my feet don't get hot and clammy, which is a problem I often have with waterproof shoes.
Another great feature of this garden clog is that cleaning is easy. You just take out the innersole and hose them off. The sole is thick and springy, which makes standing on your feet for hours more comfortable. I also like the fact that the backs have enough height, which helps keep dirt out.
I thought I would only want to wear the clogs for gardening, but they are so comfortable, I find that I slip them on any time it's wet out.
Jolly Garden Clogs come in whole sizes and run large, so if you are a half-size, order the size down.
