Guide Review - Ribbon Gardening Hat
Sometimes life looks better from under the brim of a beautiful hat.
The Ribbon Hat, by Quaker Marine is not only beautiful, it's comfortable, cool and provides great sun protection while container gardening. The brim is a generous 3.5”, which easily meets the American Cancer Society’s recommendations.
Made from ribbon woven from polyester and cellulose, this hat comes if four luscious colors - pink, orange, lilac and lime green, all with white ticking.
While you can’t machine wash it, the care instructions say that you can hand wash the hat with a damp cloth or sponge. I've had mine for about 3 years and have worn it hard while container gardening, kayaking and walking, I have never cleaned it and it still looks new.
According the Quaker Marine owner, Ned Kitchell, the one-size Ribbon Hat will fit about 70% of women. While I wish it had some way to adjust the size, the hat fits me fine. I've had a number of friends try it on and it fit most of them and looked great on almost everyone.
The biggest problem I have with the Ribbon Hat is that I want one in every color.
