Once you have finished putting in your drainage holes, you will need a barrier to keep the soil in and let water out. I use plastic window screening, but you could also use newspaper. Cut out your barrier so that it is big enough to cover all of your holes. Then lay screening or newspaper on the bottom and up the sides of your pool.
